About the Artist
Donna lives just west of Ottawa. She has been painting with watercolours for about 20 years. While she and her husband raised for children in the Ottawa area, she took drawing, oil and waterlocours classes. A deep love of horses comes through in her painting and so does a love for the west. She has made her home in British Columbia and Alberta in the past. Spending time in the summer at a family cottage in the Kawarthas has affected her art as well. She loves to paint whatever she feels passionate about. Watercolours is the medium Donna enjoys most because of the lightness of the medium adn the way she can bleed colurs together. Donna gives watercolour classes in Carleton Place at Brush Strokes and she will be teaching in MacDonalds Corners at MERA this fall as well. Her paintings are displayed in Three Yellow Tulips in Pakenham and at Green Hawk in Ottawa, Surrounding Memories in Carleton Place and teaching at art classes in Perth.
